It’s been way too long since we updated this page. The Sandhill cranes are flying south now, and lots of them the past few days, even as late as 10 p.m. over the past weekend. Therefore it’s not surprising that cold weather is on the way. We got rain all day today. It hampered us in getting the farm ready for Christmas tree sales, but we need some rain. Picked up some new saws and netting for the baler from Veldsma and Sons in Stockbridge this morning, a battery for the hayride tractor and some wiper blades for the truck from County Auto Parts in Fayetteville and a new belt for the mower from Fayette Mower. Hooked up the drip lines in the high tunnel and stocked up on chicken feed. Tomorrow we’ll be at the Peachtree City Farmer’s Market with eggs, jams, collards, kale, broccoli and cabbage. Then we’ll officially open the tree farm Thanksgiving Day. Hope to see some of you here, and hope all of you have a nice Thanksgiving.
