CSA Program

Minter’s Farm would like to announce our dates for the 2017 CSA Program. There will be TWO sessions: Session 1 will begin June 20th (Tuesday) and continue until August 5th (Saturday); Session 2 will begin September 26th (Tuesday) and continue until November 11th (Saturday). Each session is 7 weeks, making a full session a 14 week long program with 7 items in each “share”.

A CSA (Community-Supported Agriculture) Program is one where individuals within the community pledge to support a local farm by purchasing “shares” for a determined amount of time. In a CSA, the shareholders as well as the farmers share in the risks and benefits of farming. It is a great way to bring families to the farm whether it will be to pick up or if you just want to come by and see the produce you are going to eat and develop a relationship with YOUR farmers. This is also an excellent way to support the local community and to support local farmers. Our practices on the farm allow you to be certain you are consuming organically grown items and to be able to see exactly where your food is coming from. If we need to supplement from another farm, we will choose farms within the local community who also practice the same Naturally Grown regimes we use as well.

We will offer both full and half shares – full share $405 if you pay for the full session or $202.50/session and the half share is $210 or $105/session. This price includes the bags, containers and other necessary items to fulfill your share each week. The full shares will consist of 7 items in our $4-$5/item range comparable to our booth at the Peachtree City Farmers Market and the grocery store. The half shares will also have 7 items in the shares but they will be in the $2-$3/item price range.

The 2017 CSA Program will also have add-ons including meat and possibly other items. Be sure to give us enough advance notice to get the meats ordered and cut for you. The products you receive will be fresh from the farmers just like the produce!

There will be two locations for pick-up (may change at a later date): The Farm on TUESDAYS-FRIDAYS from 3-6PM @ 283 Hill’s Bridge Rd Fayetteville, GA 30215 & Peachtree City Farmers Market on WEDNESDAYS & SATURDAYS from 10AM-1PM @ 215 Northlake Dr Peachtree City, GA 30269. There are only a specific number of spots available for each day, so be sure to give us your preferred day to pick-up and any additional days that may work out. Check back with us as we may have additional pick-up locations more convenient for you!

A payment schedule may be set up to ensure the ease of purchase. You can choose to pay up front for the shares (excluding the add-ons – they will be paid on an as-ordered basis) or split the sessions in half, monthly or weekly. We will accept all forms of payment and will have it set up where you can pay online as well.

A CSA Newsletter will be sent out each week to let you know what to expect in your box and to remind you to place your orders for the week for add-ons. The Newsletter will let you know what will be available for add-ons as well as what produce we may have in bulk for you to purchase. There will be a few opportunities to purchase berries and other produce items in bulk to put away for the year or if you have a large gathering and need extra items.

Email us (stephanie@mintersfarm.com) for more information or to be added to the CSA Newsletter sign-up list. When we get everything together (within the next few weeks), we will put up our official link to sign up and things will progress from there! Thank you for your interest.
